Letting Go

Letting Go

Motherhood did not ask me to become more.

It asked me to release.

To loosen my grip on who I thought I needed to be.

To stop striving for a version of myself that could hold everything perfectly.

Letting go didn’t feel like failure.

It felt like relief.

In releasing perfection, I found space -

space to breathe,

space to feel,

space to meet my child as they are, and myself as I am.

This season isn’t about holding it all together.

It’s about learning when to soften.
